The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Toledo offers a special program that allows pre-med students entering the Bioengineering program directly from high school to complete their B.S. in Bioengineering within four years by following an accelerated curriculum.

To qualify for this program, pre-med students must earn a GPA of at least 3.7 during their first semester, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.7 through the end of their second year.

Students that have been accepted into the BS/MD program are automatically considered for this program. Other interested pre-med students should contact the Academic Program Coordinator during Rocket Launch or during their first semester to be considered for this program.

Note that pre-med students, including those accepted to the BS/MD program, are not required to follow the accelerated curriculum if they wish to follow the normal five year curriculum.
